I had no one to help me, so I just winged it. I use the EI programming every now and then on a QT20 lathe. The Mazak ISO on the early controls isn't very well designed or tested. But I also found sometimes it worked and sometimes not. I found the X Z on the G50 line can be omitted and it'll read the geometry offsets from the tool setup page. This machine would not cycle start unless the steady was open so we had to add a M48 in the program then M00 to hammer the part up to the chuck jaws after.Īlso note geometry offsets were not available on Fanuc when the T32 was around so Mazak ISO uses G50's to set tool geometry as per the manual. Note M codes can be machine/model specific. Steady close is M48, open is M49 (parts catcher up/down can also be this) It's basically stock Fanuc 6T code with a few Mazak M codes thrown in. Here's a working Mazak ISO program example.
